I ordered a lemon tray bake cake and after starting to eat a few bites I realised a flying insect crawling on the plate what looked like it came from underneath the cake slice/tissue, I quickly went up to the counter and drew the attention of the staff and showed the fly, the fly was live, they killed it but said it could have come from anywhere, it probably came from me and that they will only partially refund the cake slice, and did not even offer another slice as replacement which any standard restaurant would do so. This particular brunch of Caffe Max has the worst customer service. The independent expert witness for the court said that the foundations were inadequate, it had been badly installed with the wrong materials used.
